Impressions of a cat.

Good morning all! I love my garden in the morning. These palm trees surround my garden on 2 sides.

Ah finally!

Well text on top of a photograph is wrong! Finally changed the setting and now it looks about right. Let the viewer look, think then see what you have to say :)

The best views in my house are actually from my toilet window. The best plays of sunlight on a plaster wall, the best sparkle of sunshine on water drops, the best sunsets. So with camera in hand and balancing precariously on toilet bowl, I took this.

Okay the orientation of this picture is a bit weird. I was looking straight up when I took this. The top of the picture is where my chin was facing, the bottom was aligned with the top of my head.

Construction site next to the building in which I was invigilating. Lomo loves rugged facades (go Eric!) so I snapped a shot and lo and behold... a gem. Well looks like a bombed out building or something from the Great Depression.

Lomo loves this guy. Eric making burger patties.

My handsome cat Boy. Actually he's kinda flea bitten and flabby but photogenic.... sort of....

I have a fascination with skylights in tall buildings, especially when you can see taller buildings above the skylight. Taken at the Legend Hotel in KL.

Hayao Megagenius

Just finished watching (re-watching) Spirited Away in English this time and totally loved it! The creator Hayao Miyazaki always (correct me if I am wrong?) bases his cartoons in summer when the skies are blue and everything is green. I have never seen a non-summer movie of his. There is always a breeze causing the tall grasses to wave so you get that really nice its-a-good-day-for-a-picnic feeling. Having been fortunate enough to visit the Japanese Alps in summer I know the smells and the cicada sounds he never fails to put into his movies.

I notice he also likes wooden houses. Old wooden houses that are a bit shabby but nevertheless have a homely feel about them. There's always a bit of wistfulness in his movies. The guy does not always get the girl. The girl is not always beautiful. More likely than not she's a skinny pumpkin-head with an attitude. The man is an artist of the highest caliber!

Ah KL Plaza... stainless steel and plaster. The curves are maddeningly hard to capture!

I Really Wish

I could post photos here....

Fried Disaster

Attempted to make fried rice today... The problem is the gaps between my attempts are so far apart that I forget the mistakes of the last attempt. Anyway my kind dinner guest bravely ate a plateful. The rum flambe prawns were tasty tho. If you're gonna set something aflame might as well do it with panache!

Hot Hindividual Hin Ha Hot Hlittle Honda

Its so HOT! I just got back from 1 Utama and had to drive there in my little Honda without airconditioning! The blazing sun! Haim S'Ho Hot!
